The honored researchers are Alberto Julio Núñez Sellés, Research Director of the UNEV for the Entowaste and Mango projects as a Senior researcher, and as a collaborator in the Cáscara Cascarilla, Tribicard and Promancoa projects. Alejandro Julio Abril González, professor and scientific researcher in the Humanities area, for the Caña energy and Promancoa project. Antonio Selman Almonte, renowned academic, Dominican Academy of Medicine; César Ernesto López Cabrera, researcher and member of the FEU, as head of the Organic Cacao and Sargasso project.
Helmut Betancourt Dalmasi, a researcher attached to the National Career of Researchers of the Dominican Republic, was awarded for the Katahdyn Sheep projects, and Sargasso, Luis Orlando Maroto Marín, member of the National Commission of the Biology Career of the University of Havana by Immudian Diagnosis, María Dolores Durruthy Rodríguez, member of the Cuban Society of Physics for the Film, Matxy and Ceramics project.
Marisol Ventura López, member of the Dominican Society of Agricultural and Forestry Researchers as a senior researcher in the Cáscara Cascarilla project; Marlen Ramil Mesa, responsible for the Pilot Plant of the Research Center of the UNEV, as a collaborator in the Ceramic and Promancoa projects.
Also, the Lic. Miledy Santana de Guerrero, planning officer of the UNEV; Moisés Hernández García as senior researcher in the Ceramics and Films project, Natalia de la Caridad Vega, also for Films, Rafael Guillén Marmolejos and Rodolfo Antonio Núñez Musa, for Tribicard.
Víctor Espaillat Martínez was also recognized by the Mango project; Wilfredo Mañón Rossi, former rector of the UNEV and associate researcher in the area of Health Sciences in the National Research Degree; Smerlin Paulino Frías, director (CASTA-UNEV) as head of the Sargazos y Cacao Orgánico project, Jehovah Peña, consultant; Carlitos García, researcher of the “Smart Windows” project; Santa Guzmán, Academic Vice Chancellor and collaborator in the MATXY project.
Furthermore to Héctor Mena Valerio, Orlando Rodríguez, Iliana Rosa García, Basilio Almonte, Eugenia de la Cruz, Libya Alcántara, the
CBL Research team was also recognized for their contributions to the Immunodiagnostic project, Svetlana Afanasieva, Agripina Ramírez Sánchez, Lucia Berigüete, Darwin Muñoz, Victoria Bárbara Arencibia Sosa and Héctor Valerio Mena.
The winners were awarded plaques and scrolls in recognition for their collaboration in the development of a research culture in this academy.
